A group of us went along with Mr C to Glasgow Sculpture Studios for an artist talk by John Vella. He discussed and presented images spanning his career. Loved listening to his approach and process. Look up website for list of artists at Sculpture Studios over next 6 weeks. Lots going on.
We walked along to the BBC on a beautiful sunny day to attend the launch for the Red Shed. Images above. Brief description -- 6 artists were given the space to create as they wished in and around the shed their own ideas of how the space should be used. The "Shed" was positioned by Graven Images inside the BBC on an office floor full of rows and rows of office desks. ( typical working office environment.) All details posted on SEA within VLE. The Red Shed operating on the night was offering a copying service. I handed in a stone and received a drawing on paper cut to shape then wrapped in red tape. Similiar---isshhh. We all had a good laugh comparing our copies. Just loved the idea. Hannah in photo above handing in her object to be copied
What an inspirational day.
